ICSD Deaflympics Football Draw
Draw Procedures for 2013 Deaflympics Football
• 16 men teams will participate in the 2013 Deaflympics Women Football Competition.
• 8 women teams will participate in the 2013 Deaflympics Women Football Competition.
• The host country, Bulgaria elected not to enter the 2013 Deaflympics Men or Women Football Competition.
Allocation of Women Groups
• The 8 teams will be divided into 2 groups of 4 teams.
• In accordance to the ICSD Football Rankings, USA as the first seed has already been seeded as team A1. Russia is seeded second as team B1.
• The 6 remaining teams will be distributed into pots 1 and 2 in such a way that guarantees the best possible geographical distribution in the groups.

Drawing Women Teams from Pot 1
1. In accordance to the ICSD Football Rankings, USA as first seed will be placed in A1 and Russia as second seed will be placed in B1.
2. The four European teams (balls 3, 4, 5, 6) will be drawn from pot 1 and subsequently placed in the position of groups A2, B2, A3, and B3, in this order.
Drawing Women Teams from Pot 2
3. The final Asian team will be drawn from pot 2 and subsequently a letter (either A or B) is drawn from the Group Pot to determine the team’s allocation into A4 or B4.

Drawing Men Teams from Pot 1
1. In accordance to the ICSD Football Rankings, Turkey as first seed will be placed in A1; Russia as second seed will be placed in D1; Ukraine as third seed will be placed in B1 and Russia as fourth seed will be placed in C1.
2. The four European teams (balls 5, 6, 7, 8) will be drawn from pot 1 and subsequently placed in the position of groups A2, B2, C2, and D2, in this order.

3. Four out of the five Asian teams (balls 9, 10, 11, 12, 13) will be drawn from pot 2 and subsequently placed in the position of groups A3, B3, C3, and D3, in this order. The fifth remaining Asian team left in pot 2 will be transferred to pot 3.

4. The one African team (ball 14), two Pan-American teams (ball 15, 16) and the final Asian team (ball 9, 10, 11, 12 or 13) will be drawn from pot 3. After each team is drawn from pot 3, a letter (either A, B, C or D) is drawn from the Group Pot to determine the team’s allocation into A4, B4, C4, or D4.

• Both draw is designed to ensure fairness in accordance to the ICSD Football Rankings and also guarantees the best possible geographical distribution in all groups.
