Invitation For TD Applications

ICSD is looking for sports leaders to help develop their sports and competitions until the next Deaflympics.

Dear Deaf Sports Friends,

I am ICSD Vice President - World Sports, Kang CHEN.

My first assignment in this video is about recruiting Technical Director. Technical Directors completed their missions during their term of 2009-2013. Therefore, we, ICSD, are doing the recruitment for new Technical Directors during the term of 2013-2017, or until the next Winter Deaflympics for some winter sports.

Technical Directors are most important to ICSD; also the workload of the Technical Director is very heavy. For example, for the next 4 years, there will be variou ICSD sanctioned competitions such as World Championships, Deaflympics, and others. Technical Directors are responsible to keep the technical regulations updated and make sure they match International Sports Federations regulations where appropriate. In addition, if any ICSD members have proposals or complaints, Technical Directors will need diplomacy skills to handle these cases.

So, we, ICSD, are looking for the Technical Directors who must meet the following,
1. Deaf,
2. Fluent in International Signs,
3. Fluent in English Language, the reason for English is to understand all relative documents in English also communications with all ICSD members,

Moreover, #2 and #3 are the official language in the ICSD Constitution.

4. Good knowledge of your sport.
