  • CISS is seeing an increase in membership applications. Jerald Jordan assists in reviewing applications and makes sure that proper paper work is in order before we give provisional membership status to new members.  We now have over 90 countries!
  •  Donalda Ammons completed the CISS anti-doping policy and procedures to be used in the upcoming Deaflympics and all future World Championships.
  • The Constitution and regulations for World Championship and Deaflympics have been updated and posted on our CISS website.
  • We will continue to recruit a few more people to sit on our Commission groups, i.e.: legal, athletes, anti-doping, technical, audiological, finance and sponsorship, appeals, recognitions, regional confederations, and membership.
  • We continue to work closely with and give guidance to our Associate members.
  • We are working well with the Deaflympics Organizing Committee of 2005, 2007, and 2009 and actively recruiting 2011 and 2013 candidates.
  • We are preparing for our upcoming Executive Committee and Technical Directors Seminar in Lausanne, Switzerland in May 2004 in conjunction with the GAISF Congress.
  • The Technical Directors will promote Deaflympics at the GAISF Congress by setting up a booth at the exhibition hall. We will send our delegates to attend GAISF Assembly. It will be the first time ever that we will be highly visible.
  • Ole Artmann has been working with Member Countries on membership dues to ensure that payment of dues is up to date before the 2005 Deaflympic Games.
  • Donalda Ammons is pleased with the M2005 Organizing Committee's progress during her site visit at Melbourne this past January and feels very optimistic about the success of the 2005 Games.
  • There will be a formal unveiling of the new logo during the CISS Congress and at the Opening Ceremony at the 2005 Deaflympic Games.
