Alpine Skiing

First of all, I very much look forward to 2006 and 2007 when I start to do many more exciting work with you all National Deaf Sport Federation and Alpine Technical Delegates. I have been re-appointed as the Winter Deaflympics Alpine Technical Director after I decided to step down as Deaflympics Sports Director in Melbourne 2005. I appreciate your confidence and support.

We are looking forward to coming to Salt Lake City, USA in early March 2006 for site inspection for 2007 Winter Deaflympics. It is also a well known site for the 2002 XIX Olympic Winter Games where we can find some of the finest winter facilities in the world. Young athletes can now make their own Winter Deaflympics dreams comes true, thanks to the Salt Lake City area and United States Deaf Sports Federation. These facilities also welcome visitors from all over the world.

As you may know, hosting Winter Deaflympics can be a very expensive project because winter sports are expensive. I want to thank Swedish Deaf Sports Federation and USA Deaf Sports Federation for working hard to support the 2003 Sundsvall and 2007 Salt Lake City Winter Deaflympics.

I am also planning to host a workshop for Deaf Athletes, Technical Delegates and National Deaf Sport Federations in Salt Lake City in 2007, to look for better strategies for expansion and more activities for winter sports.  Please feel free to e-mail your thoughts to me.
