Media accreditation for TOKYO 2025 - Update
The ICSD is preparing two types of media accreditation: (1) for National Team Public Relations and (2) for Media Professionals. The main differences are explained below.
(1) National Team Public Relations
- Belong to a National Team sent by an ICSD Full Member and be responsible for public relations for the Deaf Sports Federation of your country.
- Registration will be done within the Final Entry of the National Team.
- They will be able to use the buses provided by the Tokyo 2025 Organising Committee.
(2) Media Professionals
- Do not belong to a National Team sent by an ICSD Full Member, and will be conducting public broadcasting, including the Internet.
- Registration will be accepted from 20 June to 15 August 2025 (Update: see below - deadline to apply until 31. July 2025 with all required documents).
- They will not be able to use the buses provided by the Tokyo 2025 Organising Committee.
The Tokyo 2025 Organising Committee and ICSD will jointly publish media guidelines (including live broadcast information from the Organising Committee) on 18 June. Please read these guidelines and the information on the two types of accreditation fees will also be announced by 18 June.

(1) The TOKYO 2025 Organising Committee has opened the 'Media Page for TOKYO 2025 DEAFLYMPICS' on its website.

(2) Media ID Card Application
(2a) National Team Public Relations (NDSF Media) should register the required information during the final entry period from 15 August to 15 October 2025. (The procedure is the same as before.)
(2b) Media professionals should apply for accreditation following the procedures below.

B) Media Information Form
2. Complete and Submit both A (PDF with the signature) and B (.doc/.docx or .xls/.xlsx format) at the same addresses above, by 31 July 2025.
3. After our checking the forms, ICSD Financial Officer, Jarno Stappers will contact you regarding payment.
4. After successful payment (by 10 August 2025) we will then forward all the information to the TOKYO 2025 OC to process your media accreditation.

Attention Media Teams and Professionals: Please review the following important information regarding the use of radio equipment in Japan for the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics.
To prevent interference in the use of radio waves, radio equipment used in Japan must conform to the technical standards of the Radio Act. Whether a device conforms to these technical standards can be confirmed via the Technical Conformity Mark (Figure 1). Please note that technical standards vary between Japan and other countries; therefore, certain devices may not be permitted for use within Japan.
