Anne Bremner of Melbourne, Australia has been selected as Assistant Technical Director in Basketball for the 2005 Deaflympic Games. 

Anne was born to deaf parents and attended Glendonald School for Deaf Children. Anne started swimming after seeing the Olympic Games held in Melbourne in 1956. Later, she came 3rd in the All-Victorian High Schools Championship.

Around the same time, Anne joined the local netball team and went on to represent Australia in deaf teams against New Zealand and Great Britain.  Anne and her Aussie basketball teammates earned a bronze medal at the 1985 Games in Los Angeles, California.  She was then selected to coach the Aussie basketball team at the 1989 Deaflympic Games in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Anne was actively involved on many sporting committees from the time she left school. She has also authored papers on coaching deaf athletes.

Anne has two sons and three grandsons.  Welcome, Anne!
