Alpine Skiing

Greetings!

I was in Gröden, Italy for the Alpencup's  10 Years Jubilee. A total of 50 competitiors (35 Men and 15 Women) from 8 Federations and 18 associations came to Gröden. Some competitiors from the recent Winter Deaflympics in Salt Lake City/USA took part, too.

The winner woman of all competitions was Petra Kurkuva (CZE).
Overall women's winner of Alpencup 2007 was Petra Kurkuva (CZE).

The men's winners were: Martin Legutky (SVK), Mathias Becherer (GER), Phillipp Perchtold (AUT) and Roland Schneider (SUI).
Overall men's winner of Alpencup 2007 was Phillipp Perchtold (AUT).

In the evening the winners received their Awards. I congratulated all winners and the Alpencup Leader Martin Larch , who has worked for Alpencup for 10 years.

I hope that  the Deaf Alpine World Championships 2009 will take place in Turkey. I will work with the Turkish Deaf Sports Federation and ICSD and see what will transpire next.

Regards
